Finance Manager (Part-Time | 2–3 Days Per Week)

About the Role

We're a well-established, growing Australian manufacturing and retail business based in Narangba, and we're looking for a switched-on Finance Manager to take full ownership of our finance function - 2 to 3 days per week, on-site.

This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a part-time contract bookkeeper supporting you. You'll have real ownership of the finance function while also having the commercial confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Own

• Accounts payable and receivable

• Bank reconciliations, BAS, and compliance

• Month-end close, adjustment journals, and management reporting

• Primary relationship with our external accounting firm

• Challenging and reviewing departmental spend across the business

• Overseeing and directing a part-time contract bookkeeper

• Reviewing and managing business contracts, insurance policies, and property agreements - ensuring nothing falls through the cracks

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar finance or management accounting role

• Experience managing or overseeing others, even in a small team context

• Detail-oriented and organised - someone who takes ownership of the things others overlook

• Commercially confident - you're not shy about asking hard questions

• Experience in a small-to-medium business environment preferred

• Xero or MYOB proficiency (we use MYOB)

• A bookkeeping or accounting qualification is valued but not essential - the right experience matters more
