About Us

Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.

We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the company's accounts payable duties, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and timely, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.

An Accounts Payable Specialist at Ocius will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys process improvement, and is committed to accuracy and collaboration. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly while contributing to a positive team culture and able to assist with the broader functions of the Finance Team as Ocius continues to achieve its successes and expand.

A typical day could include:

• Process and verify invoices, match with purchase orders, enter details accurately and expenses correctly coded to expense types, departments and projects.

• Reconcile accounts payable monthly, manage aged payables, prepayments, supplier credits, intercompany items, and support month-end, year-end, and stock take activities.

• Maintain vendor relationships and all associated documentation, inquiries, reporting and all other associated requirement.

• Participate in general accounting activities as required to ensure team meets its obligations and maintains high levels of service to internal customers.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• 3-5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or related Finance role;

• Proven capability managing accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, reconciliations, payment runs and supplier liaison;

• Experience or demonstrated knowledge in the automation of Accounts Payable function;

• Experience or demonstrated knowledge in general accounting activities and back-up payroll duties;

• Able to demonstrate examples of pro-active activity suited within a growing team, in a growing company.

• Must be able to be eligible for security clearance of up to NV1 clearance level;

• Must be able to work on-site 4 days (1 day WFH);

• Experience with NetSuite is desired, but not essential.

Due to the nature of our business, we require Australian Citizenship for all roles. In this role you would need the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance (do not require a clearance before commencing).
