My Digital Health Group is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller / Accountant who can also perform strong business analyst work.

This is a hands-on role responsible for financial management, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, compliance, systems improvement, and commercial analysis across our growing digital healthcare businesses.

The right person will be comfortable managing the accounting function while also analysing business processes, improving reporting, working with operational data, supporting system improvements, and helping leadership make better decisions.

You will need strong accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, advanced spreadsheet capability, and the ability to translate data into practical business insights. Experience in healthcare, telehealth, medical services, or a growing SME environment would be highly regarded.

This role is ideal for someone who likes clean numbers, useful dashboards, better systems, and solving business problems rather than simply reporting what happened after the fact.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial controls, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and compliance.

Preparing management accounts, dashboards, variance analysis, and commercial reporting.

Analysing revenue, costs, margins, patient activity, practitioner utilisation, and operational performance.

Mapping processes, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting system and workflow improvements.

Working with leadership, operations, and external advisers to improve financial visibility and business performance.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience as a Financial Controller, Tax Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar.

Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.

Business analysis experience, including process improvement, requirements gathering, workflow mapping, and system optimisation.

Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.

Experience with Xero accounting software and reporting tools.

A practical, commercial, and proactive approach.

CA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
