Medusa Hotel Sydney is seeking a bubbly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our boutique team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences from the moment guests arrive.
Based in Darlinghurst, NSW, this position offers flexibility while being part of a dynamic hospitality team. As a Boutique Hotel Receptionist, you will play a vital role in representing our hotel and ensuring guests receive warm, efficient experience throughout their stay.
Hours: Shifts range 8am-1pm, 1pm-7pm (5 - 7 days per week)
- Flexible work shifts rostered based on candidates availability
What you'll be doing
Greeting guests upon arrival with a warm welcome and processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently
Managing reservations, bookings and enquiries via phone, email and in-person
Providing accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions and services
Handling guest requests and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly and escalating when necessary
Managing the front desk operations, including cash handling and payment processing
Maintaining accurate guest records and updating the hotel management system
Co-ordinating with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
Promoting hotel services and facilities to encourage guest engagement
Performing general administrative tasks and maintaining a neat, welcoming reception area
What we're looking for
A boutique hotel receptionist with customer service is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications
A professional appearance and genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
Flexibility to work across various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus
A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and commitment to excellence
