The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front Office Duty Manager.
In this role, you will manage different shifts at Front Desk and collaborate closely with all other Departments within the Hotel. You will manage the team of Guest Service Agents and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations with highest standards of Amora Customer Service.
Your leadership will inspire the Front Office team to respond professionally to guest enquiries and feedback and create unforgettable experiences at every opportunity.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
Be the first point of contact and decision-maker during your shift, managing all aspects of Hotel's operations (check-in, check-out & cashiering)
Ensure exceptional customer service by leading and guiding the team to deliver high-quality service during guest stays
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the hotel
Collaborating with other departments to coordinate and optimise hotel operations
Providing guidance, support, and training to team members to foster their professional development
Maintaining accurate records and generating reports as required
What we are looking for:
A solid knowledge of all Rooms Division areas including Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, and Guest Services
The ability to work closely with all Departments and manage the Hotel's operations effectively
The ability to take the correct actions concerning the safety, security and well-being of all hotel guests, patrons and staff in the absence of senior management
Exceptional customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations
Good understanding of revenue management, able to control room rates and availability via Opera PMS & Channel Manager
Excellent computer system skills including working knowledge of Opera Cloud or Opera Server PMS (or similar)
Flexibility with various shifts, including occasional overnight shifts when required, weekends and public holidays
The ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities, handle and deal with complaints effectively
