About us

We are a neighbourhood post office located in Carlisle WA, less than a 10-minute drive from Perth city centre. We have been serving the local community for over 20 years, offering a full range of Australia Post products and services. We pride ourselves on being customer-focused and helping our customers find the right postal solutions for their needs. We have a small, friendly, and supportive team.

Your working hours will be approximately 16 hours per week.

Qualifications & experience

• 1–2 years of previous experience as a customer service officer in an Australia Post outlet (preferred but not essential).

• Cash handling experiance is essential.

• Ability to work across a rotating roster of three shifts per week, including Saturday mornings (3 hours).

• Background in customer service.

• Ability to lift up to 16kg of mail repeatedly and stand for most of your shift.

• A team player who is also comfortable working independently.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Performing customer sales and service transactions

• Maintaining a cash advance accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS

• Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activities

• Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs

• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
