Beacon Family Law is an established Perth based law firm practicing exclusively in family law. The firm was established 20 years ago by the Director.  We are a small team that uphold high standards in our work.  You will work directly with the Director.

The Position
We require a Junior Family Law Solicitor to join our team. As a Family Lawyer, you will

• Assist the principal to run his files

• Speak to clients and take client instructions

• Draft and review legal documents;

• Ensure timely and effective communication with clients in line with our service guarantees.

• Provide clear and compassionate advice to clients navigating complex family law issues

• Draft correspondence, court documents and advices

• Attend client meetings and pre-trial conferences/mediations

• Helping to prepare matters for settlement negotiations and hearings

• Brief and liaise with counsel

What we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic junior lawyer who:

• is 0-2 year post‑admission experience, ideally who has worked as a paralegal or is working as a junior family lawyer.

• must hold Australian legal admission only.

• has genuine interest in developing a career in family law

• has sound organisational skills and high attention to detail

• has common sense, initiative and good communication skills

• can work independently and problem solve

• has a resilient nature and aspires to eventually conduct their own files with minimal supervision

• learns from mistakes and doesn't make the same mistake twice
