Location: North Melbourne (Onsite Only - This is not a remote position)
Employment Type: Contractor (ABN Required)
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 10:00am – 2:00pm
Hourly Rate: $35–$40 per hour (depending on experience)

We're seeking an experienced and highly organised Bookkeeper & Administration Coordinator to join our small, dynamic team based in North Melbourne.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accurate financial administration, and is looking for flexible, family-friendly working hours. This is an onsite role where you'll become an important part of a small collaborative and supportive team.
About the Role
Working across multiple business entities, you'll play a key role in ensuring our financial records and administrative processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
Manage bookkeeping across 3–5 business entities
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable end to end
Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
Process and reconcile statements
Prepare and post journals
Prepare and lodge BAS
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Ensure all financial transactions are supported by appropriate documentation
Liaise with external accountants
Coordinate annual audit requirements with auditors
Administration
Manage the accounts and finance mailbox
Assist in preparing supplier agreements and documentation
Coordinate shared drives, subscriptions and suppliers
Update CRM & Client Records
Book travel arrangements when required
Provide general administrative support across the business
Coordinate board & meeting room bookings with external clients also as the key contact.
As a small team you will also assist in answering incoming roles also.
About You
You'll be someone who:
Has previous bookkeeping experience across multiple entities
Has strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Can work independently while enjoying being part of a close-knit team
Is proactive, reliable and takes ownership of their work
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Previous bookkeeping experience
ABN and ability to work as an independent contractor is a requirement of this role
Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
Highly Desirable:
Experience with Xero as well as with MYOB
BAS preparation and lodgement experience
Experience working with external accountants and auditors
