We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in North Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their accounting career while gaining broad exposure across financial accounting, month-end reporting, accounts payable, payroll support and financial compliance.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

This is a varied position that offers exposure across multiple areas of accounting and provides excellent development opportunities for someone looking to progress their finance career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.

• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support the preparation of monthly management reports.

• Process supplier invoices, payment runs and expense claims.

• Assist with accounts receivable activities and customer invoicing.

• Support payroll administration and payroll reconciliations.

• Assist with BAS, payroll tax, superannuation and other compliance reporting.

• Maintain financial records within Xero and support process improvements.

• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and finance improvement projects.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working with numbers, has excellent attention to detail and is looking to grow your accounting career in a supportive environment.

To be successful, you'll have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.

• 1–2 years' accounting or finance experience.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Highly Regarded

• Progress towards CPA Australia or CA ANZ.

• Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.

• Exposure to month-end reporting.

• Korean language skills would be highly regarded due to regular interaction with our Korea-based parent company and stakeholders.
