The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Finance Manager to join our leadership team.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Controller, this role is responsible for overseeing the Group's financial management, reporting and analysis functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely preparation of consolidated financial accounts, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Working closely with senior management, the Group Finance Manager will provide financial oversight across the Group's development, construction and hotel operations while supporting acquisition activities, business integration, risk management and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly Group financial accounts.

  • Manage and continuously improve the Group consolidation and reporting systems.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for Head Office entities.

  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated Group financial statements and interim reports.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial reporting across all Group entities.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead and support the Group budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet, cash flow and financial forecast models.

  • Monitor business performance through revenue forecasting and sales pipeline reporting.

  • Provide meaningful financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.

Commercial & Strategic Support

  • Review client contracts, commercial proposals and pricing decisions.

  • Assist with acquisition planning, due diligence and financial modelling.

  • Support the integration of acquired businesses into Group reporting and operational frameworks.

  • Provide commercial insights to support business growth and investment decisions.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Provide leadership, supervision and support to local and Malaysia-based accounts team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial reporting, compliance obligations and day-to-day accounting functions.

  • Coordinate workflow, review work outputs and promote consistency of financial processes, controls and reporting standards across the Group.

  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional growth.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes and controls.

  • Support the ongoing enhancement of financial reporting and governance procedures.

  • Assist with the implementation and optimisation of accounting and financial management systems.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify, assess and report financial and operational risks across the Group's development, construction and hotel businesses.

  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and transfer pricing regulations, including thin capitalisation requirements.

  • Support the maintenance of effective internal controls, governance frameworks and compliance processes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Travel to project sites and business locations as required.

  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis, reporting and special projects as directed by management.

Experience & Qualifications

  • CPA Australia or CA ANZ qualified.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting, finance or commercial roles within property development, construction, hospitality, hotels or related industries.

  • Experience managing Group financial reporting and consolidated accounts.

  • Experience working within property development, construction or integrated developer-builder organisations.

  • Experience in hotel accounting or hospitality finance will be highly regarded but is not essential.

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial modelling.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements and financial controls.

  • Sound knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and thin capitalisation requirements.

  • Working knowledge of MYOB software.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling capabilities.

  • High level of financial systems and technology proficiency.
