Career opportunity: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Operations team based in Launceston.

Reporting to the Asset Performance Manager, you will play a key role in optimising the reliability, performance and lifecycle outcomes of our renewable energy assets. This is an opportunity to apply your electrical engineering expertise across wind turbines, high voltage infrastructure, protection systems, SCADA and asset management strategies.

Working within a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, manage technical challenges, and support the safe and efficient operation of our wind farm assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and improving electrical asset management plans to optimise reliability and performance

• Providing technical leadership across high voltage systems, switchyards, switchrooms and electrical infrastructure

• Analysing asset performance data, investigating faults and identifying improvement opportunities

• Supporting electrical and SCADA-related projects from concept through delivery

• Coordinating contractors and supporting planned and unplanned maintenance activities

• Contributing to compliance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving the performance of critical infrastructure.

You will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Significant experience in electrical engineering, asset management or reliability roles

• Experience within power generation, renewables, heavy industry or similar environments

• Strong understanding of high voltage systems, protection and control equipment

• Experience with fault finding, condition monitoring and maintenance optimisation

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams and contractors

• Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach

Experience with wind energy, SCADA systems, CMMS platforms, asset lifecycle management or power systems will be highly regarded.
