With a-once-in-a-generation precinct that redefines the retail, dining, and wholesale experience on Sydney’s waterfront now in operation, we are looking for a Cashier/ Accounts Payable Officer who can own and manage daily cash transactions and accounts payable function.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a methodical cashier/ accounts payable officer who thrives on accuracy and compliance.

Cashier Duties

·       Receive, process, and reconcile daily cash, EFT, cheques, and other payment transactions

·       Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all payment inflows

·       Balance cash registers and prepare daily banking deposits

·       Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash handling

·       Ensure compliance with internal controls and cash handling procedures

Accounts Payable Duties

·       Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner

·       Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts

·       Prepare and process EFT payment runs 

·       Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

·       Maintain vendor records and ensure up-to-date information

·       Respond to supplier queries and maintain strong relationships

·       Assist with month-end closing activities related to payables

 General Finance Support

·       Assist with financial record keeping and filing

·       Support audits by providing relevant documentation

·       Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

·       Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes

Who you are

You will have:

• Permanent Australian working rights

• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week

• Previous experience in cashiering and/or accounts payable

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good numerical and reconciliation skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder management

• High level of integrity and accountability

• Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g.TechOne and Dynamics365 Business Central)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
