Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our Sydney team.

This is a highly visible role that combines financial leadership, commercial analysis and business partnering. Reporting into senior leadership, you will own the financial reporting function while providing critical insights that influence trading performance, profitability, cash flow and strategic decision-making.

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of month-end reporting, cash flow management, financial governance and commercial performance analysis. You will play a key role in helping the business understand sales performance, profitability drivers, working capital requirements and future growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Prepare management reports, and financial commentary.

• Deliver profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.

• Analyse sales, margin and trading performance across multiple channels.

• Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.

• Partner with operational and commercial teams to identify opportunities and risks.

• Manage short and medium-term cash flow forecasting.

• Monitor liquidity and working capital performance.

• Provide visibility over key cash flow drivers and business risks.

• Translate financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.

• Support strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Lead external audit preparation and stakeholder management.

• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

• Maintain audit readiness and robust documentation practices.

To be Successful:

You are an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial acumen and a proactive mindset.

• CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).

• 8+ years' experience in finance, financial control, management accounting or commercial finance roles.

• Strong month-end reporting, financial control and audit experience.

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• A hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and in the detail.
