Accounts Payable Officer | Rosebery, NSW

A well-established and growing organisation is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team, based in Rosebery. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership of the end-to-end AP function and wants genuine scope to shape the role.

This is a hands-on, operational position suited to someone who thrives working across a busy finance environment, and who takes pride in accuracy and process improvement.

The role:

• Process supplier invoices and match to goods receipts in line with AP procedures

• Manage price and quantity variances and resolve discrepancies as they arise

• Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations to ensure data integrity

• Prepare aged creditors listings, average days to pay, and other AP reporting

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, including negotiating payment terms and resolving disputes

• Manage credit card expense allocations and cost coding across the business

• Review invoice batches for accurate data entry and ensure timely scanning/filing of AP documentation

• Support the wider finance and procurement teams with workflow and systems improvement initiatives

• Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner

• Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as required

What you'll need:

• Demonstrated experience in an accounts payable role

• Essential: hands-on systems experience with AP/ERP platforms is required (e.g. Zudello, Sage, or similar)

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or a related discipline

• Strong Excel skills and confidence across the Microsoft Office suite

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, internal and external

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently when required
