HomeRepair is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncorp Group Ltd (Suncorp), a major general insurer in Australia and New Zealand. Our primary business is to provide residential repair and Make Safe services in Australia for insurance claims made by Suncorp’s home insurance customers. 
  
About the role
  
Reporting to the State Assessing Leader you will be responsible for evaluating and reporting property damage, managing insurance repairs, and ensuring building works are delivered to the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards. You will also collaborate closely with homeowners, internal HomeRepair teams, and trade partners to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and customer centric repair solutions.
  
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and report property damage, create accurate scope of works for trade allocation, and apply accurate estimates to repair scopes.
  • Ensure repairs are compliant with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.
  • Support quality assurance by monitoring repair performance, implementing corrective actions where required and ensuring repairs are carried out to the highest of quality.
  • Meet with homeowners/customers and ensure transparent, professional service delivery.
  • Support procurement activities by assisting in trade sourcing, onboarding, and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Provide direction to trade partners on compliance controls, quality expectations, and continuous improvement measures.
  
Skills & experience  
  • Trade qualification in the building industry (essential).
  • Escape of liquid claim assessing and repair scoping experience (essential).
  • Experience assessing major structural repairs.
  • Experience in assessing, estimating, and managing insurance repairs (highly desirable).
  • Significant experience in the building industry, including site supervision.
  • Full unencumbered driver’s license.
