With major projects underway, we are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our site team across projects in the Northern Goldfields, Western Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Fitter plays a vital hands-on role in keeping our Surface Mobile Equipment (SME) fleet running at peak performance. You will be responsible for high-quality preventative maintenance, complex fault-finding, and rapid breakdown response, directly supporting daily production targets and equipment availability across the Devon Mine Site.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Execute all mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the SME fleet in strict accordance with OEM specifications and site standards.

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, major component change-outs (engines, transmissions, final drives), and in-pit breakdown recoveries safely and efficiently.

• Conduct thorough fault-finding on complex hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimise repeat failures.

• Ensure full compliance with site isolation, lock-out/tag-out for all maintenance work.

• Accurately document all tasks, component replacements, and test results within the site CMMS.

• Actively participate in shift handovers, pre-start meetings, and hazard identification processes to foster a strong safety culture.

• Work a 9/5 roster

What Do I Need?

Essential:

•       Australian-recognised Trade Certificate.

•       Minimum 2+ years of maintaining heavy Surface Mobile Equipment in an open-pit mining or heavy civil environment.

•       Able to diagnose and troubleshoot capability across heavy diesel engines, hydraulic circuits, and drivelines.

•       Strong ability to read and apply complex mechanical schematics and OEM technical manuals.

•       Sound understanding of WA WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, critical risk management, and isolation/stored energy requirements.

•       Current WA 'C' Class (Manual) Driver's Licence.

Desirable:

• HR License

• LF/WP/(DG/RG/AR)/CN High risk work license.
