Our client is a well-established international mining operation with a significant footprint in the Asia Pacific region. As the business continues to evolve and invest in its future growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance leader to join the site leadership team in a pivotal role overseeing Finance, IT and Administration functions.

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, this role will play a key part in driving financial performance, governance, strategic planning and operational decision-making across a large-scale mining operation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all site-based Finance, IT and Administration functions
• Driving budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
• Providing financial analysis and commercial support to operational leaders
• Delivering accurate and timely management reporting and performance insights
• Ensuring strong financial governance, internal controls and compliance
• Managing capital expenditure reporting and project financial oversight
• Supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis
• Leading and developing a high-performing team
• Driving continuous improvement, standardisation and business efficiency initiatives

About You
You are a commercially astute finance professional with strong leadership capability and experience operating in complex, fast-paced environments.

To be successful you will possess:

• Mandarin language capability will be highly regarded
• Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business
• CA or CPA qualification
• Demonstrated experience leading finance teams within mining, resources, energy, infrastructure or heavy industry environments
• Strong financial planning, budgeting and reporting expertise
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Proven ability to influence operational leaders and drive commercial outcomes
• Experience managing change, developing teams and improving business performance
• A hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to work across cultures
