Premier Network Services is a Melbourne-based Managed Service Provider delivering enterprise-grade IT services to small and medium businesses. We're looking for a Service Desk Engineer who's ready to take the next step in their MSP career — someone who enjoys solving real technical problems, working with a tight-knit team, and building genuine client relationships.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in our Docklands office with hybrid work available after your initial period, you'll be the frontline of our technical support operations. The role covers a broad range of technologies and no two days are the same.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Level 1–2 technical support across a diverse client base of small and medium businesses

  • Microsoft 365 tenant administration and support — Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint

  • Monitoring physical and Azure cloud server environments, with remediation and escalation as required

  • User account management including onboarding, provisioning, and offboarding

  • Computer pre-staging and user profile setup to client SOE standards

  • Hardware diagnosis, repair, and warranty claim management

  • Maintaining and improving internal documentation

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

You'll have around 2 to 3 years of experience at an IT MSP servicing SMB clients, with solid skills across:

  • Windows desktop deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) — administration, licensing, and support

  • Windows Server environments including Hyper-V and Remote Desktop Services

  • Hardware diagnostics and repair

  • Network fundamentals — firewalls, DNS, VPN, and general infrastructure

  • Ticketing, remote monitoring, and documentation platforms

  • Relevant certifications or tertiary qualifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)

  • Autotask PSA and/or N-Able RMM experience

  • Network gear from brands such as D-Link, Ubiquiti, SonicWall, DrayTek, or Sophos

  • Security product experience from leading vendors

  • PowerShell or other scripting experience

THE DETAILS

  • Docklands, Melbourne — office-based, hybrid available after initial period

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 2-month trial followed by a 12-month contract

  • Strong potential to convert to a permanent, full-time position

  • Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 depending on experience
