Accountant

Mountain Culture started as a single, yet stylish brewpub in Katoomba six years ago. Today we're one of Australia's fastest-growing breweries, the biggest in Western Sydney, and we've held the #1 spot in the GABS Top 100 four years running.

Now we need an Accountant who's as serious about a clean balance sheet as we are about a clean pour. You'll support our finance team across financial accounts, payroll, and BAS returns — based out of our Emu Plains office, where the numbers (and occasionally the taste-testing) happen.

What you'll actually do

• Assist with managing multi-site Hospitality accounting and reporting including integrations between the Retail POS and Netsuite ERP

• Complete essential month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, clearing accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register

• Lease accounting

• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts

• Assist with preparation of BAS/IAS lodgements and reporting

• Assist with excise tax calculations

• Managing supplier payments including property rental schedules

• Prepare/develop reporting to Department Managers to assist their decision making

• Support continuous improvement of financial systems (improving efficiency, data management and use of AI tools)

Who you are

• Hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Business

• Either recently CA/CPA qualified, or nearing completion

• 4+ years experience in Industry or in Big-4 accounting

• Tech savvy with experience using accounting software and systems

• Advanced/Intermediate skillset with Microsoft Excel

• Factory or Warehouse costing experience highly advantageous
