We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is confident using Xero and fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business while working closely with our Australian and Indonesian teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations using Xero

  • Process invoices, supplier payments, student refunds, and receipts

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes

  • Track commissions and partner payments

  • Communicate with Indonesian-speaking clients, agents, and business partners

  • Support payroll and general finance administration as required

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

Desirable

  • Experience working within the education, migration, or professional services sector

  • Understanding of commission-based payment structures

  • Experience handling international or multi-currency transactions

  • Knowledge of Australian accounting and GST requirements
